July 29, 2011 – Press Release Due to the nationwide downturn in the economy and lack of participants in horse shows of all breeds across the county, the Grand National Championship Show scheduled for Sept 2011 in Lake St. Louis, MO will be postponed until 2012. The Alliance Board of Directors made this decision after considerable deliberation, but it was ultimately decided that to proceed with the show would not be meeting the fiduciary responsibility of the Board to its members.
The Board would like to express its appreciation for the support shown to the Alliance by its members and by the Andalusian/ Lusitano community, and regrets any inconvenience caused to anyone as a result of the show being postponed. The Alliance looks forward to a more prosperous economy in 2012, with more support at qualifying shows across the country, and to a successful 2012 Grand National Championship Show.

Earlier this year, the Alliance was invited by the Missouri State Fair to hold a one-day breed show during the MO State Fair in Sedalia, MO on Thursday August 18, 2011. March 2011 – Missouri State Fair:The Alliance is pleased to announce that it has been invited by the Missouri State Fair to hold a one-day breed show during the MO State Fair in Sedalia, MO on Thursday August 18, 2011. The Premium book will be available online April 1st. Entry Forms will be available online May 1st at www.mostatefair.com. Deadline for entries August 1, 2011. Check back often to the Alliance website – we will make the Class List available soon! This invitation is a distinct honor, and we invite you to come show with us! If you have never shown at a state fair, you are in for an experience, and this is a great opportunity to promote our wonderful Andalusians and Lusitanos and their partbreds!

EXCITING NEWS: November 2010 - There is a new magazine being published! The Alliance Source“Uniting the Passion for the Iberian Show Horse” will be mailed out Jan 15, 2011 and will also be available online. Besides having news from our inaugural Grand National Championship Show, the first issue of the Alliance Source will also contain informative and how-to articles relevant to showing your Iberian horse. Your input is vital to us, so if you have a specific topic you would like to see covered in this, or any upcoming issue, please drop us a line at: thealliancesource@hotmail.com.
Because the Alliance has committed to operating this magazine at cost, we are able to pass the savings on and offer very competitive advertising rates!
